Youth Circus Classes
Gymnastics - 1 and 2
Ages 6-10
Level 1 is designed to teach kids the basics of gymnastics: how to roll, be upside down, land on your feet, fall safely, and of course, learn some fun skills! Youth classes will be filled with fun challenges, games and age-appropriate strength & conditioning.
Level 2 classes building on the basics to take the next step. Learning back walkovers, handstand forward rolls, round offs and more.
Youth Circus Arts
Join the circus and try your hand at a variety of skills! This class will include hula hoops, aerial skills, juggling, basic tumbling and more.
Youth Aerial
Fly through the air with the greatest of ease! This class will include lyra, silks, hammock and trapeze.
Juggling
Join us for juggling nights, open to all ages and skill levels, on Tuesdays from 7-10pm
Unicycle
Whether you are a total beginner or looking to add juggling on top of your balance, you are welcome here! The instructor will provide skills appropriate to your level of mastery.
Bringing your own is preferred, as you will make progress quicker if you using the same one each practice session.
Skills we will cover: riding, turning, free mounting, idling, one foot idling, hopping, and adding skills on top of our balance
Youth Circus and Art Summer Camp
Come join us at JaJaPDX Circus in Portland this summer! Children will build strength, confidence, and perseverance while learning a variety of circus skills, including trapeze, silks, lyra, juggling, acrobatics and more in a non-competitive environment. They will work with a master visual artist in the afternoons to develop a solo and/or collaborative piece of art. Children will present some of their new skills at the end of the week.
