This past year Dreya choreographed the aerials for P!NK’s current world tour. She performed with Opera Zuid in Holland twice, appearing as Puck in Britten’s Midsummer Nights Dream, and creating aerial choreography for award winning Lady in the Dark. As Artistic Director for Chicago’s Cabaret Zazou, she directed & wrote “Luminaire” the venue’s premiere production. She directed the film & stage versions of Frank Ferrante‘s Groucho seen nationwide on PBS. Dreya’s work as designer & aerial choreographer is featured in Magic Mike Live Las Vegas, London & the North American tour. She is featured in HBO’s Max Finding Magic Mike. Dreya conceived and choreographed P!NK’s Grammy Award performance of Glitter In The Air, and her 2021 Billboard Awards aerial duet with daughter Willow. Her work with Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, P!NK, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Madonna, Cher, Michael Jackson, & Christina Aguilera has been featured on film, television, & on arena stages globally. She produced & starred in The Aerialist, A Marine Story, and The Gymnast, winner of 48 festival awards including seven “Best Actress” nods. Dreya is currently presenting her solo show, Hexen, an ancestral exploration of Witch archetypes told with story, song, audience interaction, & aerial transformation. One of Dreya's favorite things about teaching aerial arts is seeing the spark of pure joy when a student reaches a new understanding of a skill or storytelling moment. Helping unlock the uniqueness of the individual is always her goal. @dreya_weber
Jodi Reiter is a multi-disciplinary aerialist, dancer, mover and creator that has worked for over two decades as an artist, collaborator and instructor around the world, including a decade and about 3,000 shows in Franco Dragone’s “Le Reve.” Her background includes performing and teaching flying trapeze, corde lisse, aerial fabric, single and double trapeze, Dunham technique, Afro-Haitian and Afro-Cuban dance. She has 20 years experience practicing and teaching yoga and meditation. She is also a founder and the director of JaJa PDX Circus in Portland, Oregon. She finds purpose and nourishment through movement on stage, in the classroom as a teacher and student, solo and in community. Jodi seeks to find new movement daily while building a vocabulary guided by strength, consistency, mindful attention, skill, celebration and discipline. She is an enthusiastic cyclist, yogi, meditator, salsa dancer, reader, eater, gardener, mother and partner.
Rose Bonomo is currently directing and collaborating with Dreya Weber on her solo show, Hexen. In Portland, Oregon where she resides, she directs and devises Vive L’Amour, a quarterly love-themed Variety Show at JajaPDX. She has directed and acted in multiple plays, written and performed in sketch comedy shows, dabbled in the clown world and spent too many years doing improv. She has a background in modern and jazz dance as both a dancer and choreographer, as well as being an accomplished salsa dancer. She also has over a decade of aerial training on various apparatuses. She is a company member of the Original Practice Shakespeare Festival, an ensemble member of Love, Shakespeare (an improvised Elizabethan comedy) and an alumna of the Actor Training Center at Shakespeare & Co in Lenox, MA. At least she is consistent. Rose’s many years of experience have brought her to a place where her passion is now matched by her expertise: directing and devising story and character based theatrical pieces for aerial performance. And she feels very fortunate that some of her favorite muses are Dreya and Jodi!

Adventures and Extras
There are additional services and adventures available through Airborne Arts. These extras and adventures can be scheduled during some of the open time. If you do not want to go on these adventures, training time will be available.
Optional add ons include:
Aerialists that are seeking to uncover their personal style on their apparatus (and off too!). The tools presented in this workshop will allow your stories, ideas, characters, and emotions to be translated into an aerial vocabulary that supports your distinctive style.
For folks not sure if they want to perform, this workshop will deepen your aerial practice and serve as a journey to an augmented understanding of oneself and our creative processes.
All aerial apparatuses are welcome. We will have a variety on hand; please be in touch regarding what apparatus(es) you prefer to work on. You are also welcome to bring your own apparatus, just be sure to let us know so we can prepare rigging.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions, we would like to accommodate all who want to join us!

We want this to be fun for you! Recommended to have a strong foundation on your apparatus at a minimum, allowing for easeful play and transitions for several minutes. Vocabulary does not have to be huge, but you should be able to hold your body up, find resting positions, safe transitions, and invert with ease so we can work with things like character, story, movement quality, etc.
We will lead two 2-hour classes each day, guiding you through exercises designed to take the lid off your box of possibilities, expose your distinctive, original, and quintessential style and how that knowledge can inform your performance/training and approach to your art.
These classes will be interspersed with Q & A sessions, video sessions, ask anything sessions, with daily check-ins and debriefs all while enjoying the extraordinary surroundings of Costa Rica and Airborne Arts. One flying trapeze class is also included in this retreat.
The open-air aerial pavilion with 20-25 feet high ceilings, fresh breezes and awe-inspiring views will be open at other times for you to explore and train at your leisure.
There will be optional classes, including activities like flying trapeze and aerial conditioning, as well as various options for adventures and relaxation alike. This may inclue hiking, surfing, swimming in the pool, trips to the beach, waterfall, viewing local wildlife and more, all in the breathtaking Costa Rican jungle.
Flights should be booked into San Jose, Costa Rica - Juan Santamaría International Airport SJO.
Airborne Arts is in the middle of the mountains of Diamante Valley. This means that the way to get here can be tricky if you choose to travel here on your own, which is why we provide transportation to the retreat center.
Transportation is for the whole group. We can help coordinate individual transport if needed at an additional cost. Please note that transportation to Airborne is not cheap, individual transportation will be at your own expense.
Our recommendation for flights is to arrive the day before the retreat starts and stay one night in San Jose.
Pickup is usually at Hotel Aeropuerto the first day of the retreat around 8am.
Pickup time would be based on the student who gets there the latest. That way they can have a chance at getting on the bus, so we recommend arriving the day before or very early on January 10th.
If the last student arrives too late and will make the rest of the group miss the first day then they would have to find they're own way or pay for us to coordinate a ride for them.
If you are interested in renting a car, be sure to rent a 4x4 to get to the property.
We’re so excited to work with you on this retreat!
Please note that student deposits are 100% non-refundable. No refunds, credits, or discounts are given for arriving late, leaving early, or any other circumstances. If you cancel 90 days or more before the retreat, you’ll receive a refund on any payment you’ve made above your deposit.
